President on experiment with potassium plant waste used in soil for corn
"You have chosen a very correct location," said the President regarding the experiment conducted at the Dzerzhinskoye test field.
The idea was as follows:
- Apply waste from the potassium plant to the soil and observe the harvest yield on this relatively poor-quality land, in this case corn.
- The field was divided into six plots. Each received different fertilizer combinations, and the yields were compared.
Corn yielded the best results on the plot where compost with sludge was applied.
The President suggests using this approach on low-fertility lands, but first urges a comprehensive study of the issue, approaching it scientifically.
"The main question is: What to do with these sludges?"
