US investigating mass mailing of letters with white powder to politicians
More than 30 American lawmakers have received suspicious letters containing white powder, according to Axios. The envelopes were sent to members of both parties — Democrats and Republicans.
Preliminary tests of the powder did not detect dangerous substances. Law enforcement has not yet identified the senders, and experts are currently determining whether the letters are linked.
Some of the mailings were sent in the name of the organization 'Democratic Socialists of America,' the outlet reported. Most of the packages were intercepted before reaching their recipients.
